Summer is a time when many parties, functions, and sleepovers are hosted. When preparing your home for a get-together, a room you may overlook is ironically the most used room for all the guest- the bathroom. So, we at Sun Plumbing ask, is your bathroom guest friendly? If your answer is no here are a couple of quick tips to change your answer to a heck yes! Enjoy.
Hand soap and towels
There is nothing worse than going to wash your hands and a bathroom being out of hand soap. The only thing that might be worse is having nothing to dry your hands off on. So, it is important to make sure that when you are preparing your bathroom for guests that you have a couple of hands soaps available as well as at least two hand towels. Don’t make people dry their hands on their pants. Also, do you really want you guest walking around your home with their unwashed restroom hands? No, we didn’t think so. Plan ahead and you won’t be sorry.
Readily available toiletries
We have all been in situations when we are staying at a friend or family member’s home when we forgot something as simple as toothpaste or contact solution. A nice and easy way to make your bathroom guest friendly is to have toiletries such as a small stash of little-sized toothbrushes, toothpaste, contact solution, makeup wipes and more. This way your guests have everything they might need and you don’t have to smell their morning breath.
Air fresheners
For everyone’s sake, try to have multiple air freshener items in your bathroom. Try keeping a constant one plugged in at all times for continual freshness. And then place a spray or mist close to the toilet so that your guest can easily grab and use it at any times. Just save everyone from the embarrassment of bad bathroom odors. Plug them in, place them near the toilets or under the sink where they can find them easily and never have to worry about a funky smell again.
Toilet paper
We have probably all been in a situation where you realize too late that there either isn’t any toilet paper or it just ran out. Don’t put your guest through that horrifying situation. Always keep a well-stocked supply of toilet paper in an easy to find place in reach from the toilet, and everyone will be very appreciative. One can NEVER have too much toilet paper, especially when you are having guests over.
Bonus tip: It never hurts to have something to read
There are so many funny bathroom books out there that your guests will get a kick out of. They are also a good conversation starter and will make you look like a cool host/hostess.
