Art in the Park
Every second Friday of the month, Youth Services hosts free art classes for kids ages 5-12 at the Franklin T. DeGroodt Library in Palm Bay. The next event is February 8th from 3-4 pm, and instructors will show the children how to make their own flowers out of coffee filters! Every month there is a new art project, so check out the different crafts to find the perfect one for your little one. Don’t forget to register here.
“Mardi Gras” for Pets
If you’re an animal lover you won’t want to miss the Humane Society’s 13th Annual Paws for Pets event on Sunday, February 17th in Historic Downtown Cocoa. There will be tons of fun activities for pets and pet owners, including pet costume contests, a parade, food and drink vendors, and more. Prizes will be given out for the pet with the best costume. This is a free event for the whole family, you won’t want to miss it!
Blues and Brews Backyard BBQ
Eastern Florida State College (EFSC) is hosting a huge event where different restaurants battle it out to see who can make the best barbecue! There will be lots of yummy BBQ samples, food vendors, a Kid Zone play area, live entertainment, and much more. If this sounds like something you and your family or friends would enjoy, get your tickets before they sell out! The proceeds go towards EFSC scholarships.
