Charity Concept

At Sun Plumbing, we believe it’s important to be involved in our local community and help out our neighbors. That’s why we partner with Brevard Rescue Mission, a local charity that provides shelter and aid to homeless women and children. It is our privilege here at Sun Plumbing to assist in our area of expertise – installing the plumbing for the Mission’s newly constructed homes, free of charge. Through the collective effort of businesses and individuals, Brevard Rescue Mission is able to change the lives of those who desperately need it.

And the 2019 Central Florida Humanitarian Award Goes To…

We have exciting news – Space Coast Daily recently honored Brevard Rescue Mission with a 2019 Central Florida Humanitarian Award! The award recognizes “outstanding individuals and organizations that dedicate themselves to helping people in need locally or around the world,” and we were so glad they bestowed it on Brevard Rescue Mission. We are honored to play a part in the Mission’s success and we applaud everyone else who has volunteered their time and money to this wonderful charity.

Space Coast Daily also published an article on the Mission, telling the story of how Stacia Glavas started the charity after witnessing the appalling living conditions of a young homeless woman and her child. Glavas, who had never planned on starting a homeless shelter, did just that after seeing what a need there was. Brevard Rescue Mission started with just three apartments and has grown into a facility that can house 13 families! To learn more about Brevard Rescue Mission you can read the article in Space Coast Daily.

Sun Plumbing has been a part of the Brevard County community since 1974 when we started our business. We have worked hard to grow into the well-known, reputable company we are today. We are grateful for our wonderful customers and are blessed to be part of such a fantastic community. Sun Plumbing’s CEO, Steve Rutherford, always looks for opportunities to give back to the community, and we look forward to continuing to provide our plumbing services pro bono to Brevard Rescue Mission and other local charities.
